Privacy Policy
Legal
How we collect, use and protect information submitted through this website.
Last updated: August 2026. This policy is a draft for Kardinia’s review before publication and does not constitute legal advice.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry through this website we collect the information you provide directly: your name, work email address, organisation, role (if given), the enquiry type you select, your description of the problem or project, and any optional location and timeframe details. This website does not use analytics services, advertising trackers or advertising cookies, and sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. One essential cookie exists solely for Kardinia staff who sign in to the content administration area; it holds a session identifier, is not used for tracking, and is never set by simply browsing the site. Standard web-server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) may be retained by our hosting provider for security and operational purposes.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up about a potential engagement, technical application, partnership, media request, investment or government matter, or research collaboration. We do not use your information for marketing you have not asked for, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
How enquiries are delivered and stored
The enquiry form is delivered only through a destination approved by Kardinia. When the form is active, submissions are received by this website's own enquiry service and stored in private, access-controlled storage operated by our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.), where only authorised Kardinia administrators can read them. If a third-party email service is used to notify us of new enquiries, that service receives the data you enter solely to email it to us, and it will be named here before the form is connected. If no destination is configured, the form does not transmit anything and instead offers you an email link, so nothing leaves your browser without your action.
Who can see it
Enquiry details are seen by the Kardinia team members best placed to respond to the route you select. We share your information with third parties only where necessary to respond to your enquiry, for example connecting you with our research partner, the University of Newcastle’s Centre for Organic Electronics, if your enquiry concerns research collaboration and you ask us to.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as it is relevant to an active or potential relationship, and delete it when it is no longer needed or on request, subject to any legal obligation to retain it.
Your rights
- You can ask what information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- You can ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal or contractual obligation to retain it.
